Four common Agni patterns
Sama Agni is considered balanced. Vishama Agni works irregularly and is often associated with bloating or a changeable appetite. Tikshna Agni is very intense and may be reflected in strong hunger, heat or acidity. Manda Agni is slower and is traditionally connected with heaviness, tiredness after eating and sluggish digestion. These patterns help me understand which kind of support may be suitable.
What supports Agni in everyday life
Regular mealtimes, enough time to eat, thorough chewing and freshly prepared foods that are personally well tolerated are often more valuable than exotic ingredients. Very large late meals, constant snacking and eating while tense or distracted can place an unnecessary burden on digestion. Small, consistent changes are usually easier to maintain than a perfect but unrealistic plan.
Using spices with sensitivity
Ginger, fennel, cumin, coriander and cardamom are traditionally used according to the individual Agni pattern. More heat is not automatically better. A person with reflux, sensitive mucous membranes or a strong feeling of inner heat needs a different approach from someone who experiences coldness, heaviness and slow digestion.
Developed through years of practice
My long experience in practice led to the development of Agni Ayurveda Botanicals for Sunday Natural. The formula is inspired by the Ayurvedic understanding of Agni and by selected traditional herbal combinations. My intention was to create an option that is both rooted in Ayurveda and practical for modern everyday life.
